Certainly some of the most interesting conditions I’ve ever run at this distance, but nonetheless the challenge was inviting. The headwind going south made it even more frigid than anticipated, putting more stress on the lungs with each passing mile. I suppose the cryotherapy sessions leading up to this helped! I was fortunate to have a nice tailwind heading back up the east side of the lake to help push me over a few serious snow-packed hills. Thank you to everyone who reached out before to wish me luck and thank you to those who even tried to talk me out of it!
